How it works?

Saxenda® works by mimicking the action of GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), which is a natural hormone in the body that helps regulate hunger and food intake. Directions for use:

1. Saxenda® is administered via injection on a daily basis, and it is typically injected under the skin (subcutaneously).
2. You can inject it into your stomach area (abdomen), upper leg (thigh), or upper arm.
3. The dosage of Saxenda® starts at 0.6mg, and it is usually increased weekly until the full daily dose of 3mg is reached.

What’s in the box and how long does it last?

Each box of Saxenda® contains 3 pens. The duration of treatment and the number of boxes you need will depend on whether you are a new patient or a returning patient on the full 3mg dose:

• For new patients, 1 box lasts for 32 days, 2 boxes for 50 days, and 3 boxes for 3 months of treatment.
• For returning patients on the full 3mg dose, 1 box lasts for 18 days, 2 boxes for 36 days, and 3 boxes for 72 days of treatment.

Ongoing medical care:

Subscribers to the Saxenda® treatment plan receive additional benefits, including free online consultations with the medical team and guidance from nutritionists. These professionals can monitor your progress and make adjustments to your treatment plan as needed.
